the subject of secret military tribunals has been raised here in recent months, and i've made no secret of my displeasure at such moves.
it was pointed out to me that president lincoln also did this, something i was not aware of.
however, i have recently read an article in the feb. 2002 issue of the atlantic monthly that discusses the world war ii precedent cited by bush for these tribunals.
My Opinion:
*ALL* trials should be public.
Should there be evidence that would jeopardize national security or the privacy and dignity of a victim (sex crimes, etc.), the *JUDGE* may have the evidence suppressed for a reasonable period of time not exceeding 100 years.

When I was a kid I was told the story of the animated "demonized" smurf. What I find amazing is that the adults all (at least pretended to) believe it without question!
I never once saw an animated smurf and never met anyone that saw an animated smurf. It was always: "Somebody heard that somebody knows someone else that saw a demon possessed smurf".

Stick to your rights! It looks like you are handling this correctly so far.
Always (politely in a JW manner ) insist that evidence be provided. Do not talk about anything until evidence is provided, and MOST OF ALL, don't answer any questions that have not been asked.
I noticed that elders will first ask: "Is there anything you want to tell us before we start?” fishing for any information/confession they might not yet have.

While we’re on the subject... I saw "Lord of the Rings" the other day. There was a seen where the hobbit was talking to a lady dressed in white (wizard/witch, whatever). At one point, she looked like she just about lost it! She was Pissed Off!
Am I the only one who was thinking, "Must be that time of the month" when that happened? However, it was nice the way she "got through it" within a few seconds instead of several days!
